All-Merciful

All-Merciful, they say, then what of devastation?
Tornados, famine, tidal waves, disease and genocide,
Why couldn’t He have intervened to save His own creation?
Being the All-Powerful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.

If transcendence is discarded as the purpose of this life,
It’s difficult to grasp why happiness has been disrupted.
We worship Him, asking for protection and His guidance,
Not that laws be broken, causality obstructed.

There’s nothing without purpose, every outcome has its reason.
God is not indifferent, He catches every tear.
He entreats us all to adore Him, the All-Compassionate,
That we may feel the life-vein Presence drawing ever nearer.
